Human rights groups organize symposium on Palestinian prisoners‘ reality

A group of institutions held Saturday an evening symposium on April 17, 2010 at Hotel Regina in the Austrian capital Vienna, ninth District. The symposium was entitled "Robbed of Freedom and Rights", and held in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners.

Free the members of the Palestinian Legislative Council

Since the announcement of the results of the Palestinian legislative elections that took place in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in January 2006, the Israeli Occupational Forces (IOF) undertook despotic arrests against the speaker of the Palestinian legislative council Mr. Aziz Doweik besides more than forty council members.

In 2002 and 2003 the IFO had arrested two members of the preceding term of the Palestinian legislative council, Mr. Marwan Al Barghouthy (who was reelected for the last term) and Mr. Hossam Khader.

Free Innocents in Gaza.

Since the announcement of the results of the Palestinian legislative elections which took place in January 2006 in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the Israeli Occupational Authorities and some other states of the world have collaborated to impose an inequitable siege on the innocent citizens of the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

As this siege poses an unprecedented formidable injustice, Friends of Humanity International calls all justice advocates all over the world to take action to urge decision makers to reconsider their governments’ policies towards lifting the siege on Gaza
