Friends of Humanity International "Human Rights Organization"   Who Friends of Humanity holds firm conviction in the cause of justice and equity.  We are experts, specialists and researchers of different nationalities.  We join hands with other human rights foundation from other countries and concert efforts to further our common aspirations and goals. It gives us pride to get the support of volunteers to our programs.   What   Friends of Humanity is an international organization concerned with human rights and based in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Our researchers conduct fact-finding investigations into human rights abuses, particularly in relation to prisoners and detainees, in some regions in the world. For example we collect accounts from prisoners and their families and synthesize evidences for abusive practices against prisoners and detainees during imprisonment. The Organization then publishes the findings of these investigations in special releases that serve to generate extensive media coverage and pressure abusive authorities to respond to our demands to end or reduce such abuses. Friends of Humanity addresses the  government officials and foundations to urge them to change their policies and practices.   We monitor abuses such as prompt death penalty, torture, political detention and discrimination, unjust trials, free expression abuses, right to affiliation to societies and unions, religious freedom in addition to issues relating to children's rights, women's rights and rights of the handicapped and the aged. We follow on issues in environment, just trade and minority rights.   We track developments in some regions in the world especially Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.   When Friends of Humanity started in 1998   Where Friends of Humanity International is based in Vienna and our experts travel to the countries they cover. In cyberspace, the Organization is located at www.friendsofhumanity.info and tracks the developments in the countries of concern.   Why Friends of Humanity International believes that standards of human rights apply to all people equally, and that vigilance and timely protest can prevent past tragedies from recurring.   How Friends of Humanity observes accuracy in reporting and publications and maintains objectivity in fact-finding investigation (for both victims and offenders) . We call upon all defenders of justice and equality, which we seek to preserve, to donate to our projects and Programs and help us hold onto our independence.
